Preparing Files

To ensure your file is ready for print and avoid any delays, here are some tips to prepare your file before sending them in

Bleed and Cropmarks
Bleed must extend further than the cut line. Using one of our Java Jitter Print Templates can help you visualize this. Please keep all text and anything you do not want cut at least 0.125” (1/4 inches) away from the cut line.
Incorrect Cropmark Setup
Proper Cropmark Setup
When sending an .eps or .pdf, make sure you include crop marks so we can cut the job correctly.
Colour space is in CMYK
We recommend that you always start and finish your designs in CMYK colour mode.   Since all jobs are printed in CMYK colour, designs done in RGB colour mode may cause colour shift. As you can see the illustration below when RGB colour is converted to CMYK colour. If you do end up submitting your files in RGB, the proof will be CMYK and the colour may have shifted. Depending on what program you may be using, they will commonly give you an option to work in either CMYK or RGB colour spaces.
